An actual child played a sold out gig in Vicar Street last night and he will make you feel 100 years old

Meet Jacob Sartorius – tween heartthrob and Justin Bieber wannabe.

THIS IS JACOB Sartorius.

If you’re not in secondary school, then you’re probably like, “Who?”

He might look like he’s barely old enough to own a mobile phone, but this wee child played a sold out gig in Vicar Street last night.

A quick explainer: Jacob Sartorius is a 14-year-old who rose to fame via the social network app Musical.ly, which allows users to share 15-second videos of them lipsyncing to songs.

Here’s Jacob in action.

If only lipsyncing had been a viable career option in our day, eh?

Jacob Sartorius has since become a tween heartthrob and now boasts a combined following of 8.5 million followers across Twitter and Instagram.

Last year, he released his debut single Sweatshirt — “Girl, you can wear my sweatshirt/’Cause you’re the only one I hold/And I don’t want you to be cold” — and his debut EP dropped a few weeks ago.

You might say that he’s making a bid to be the next Justin Bieber.

Last night, Sartorius brought this world tour to Dublin (one night he went to see Drake in the 3Arena) and if these photos are anything to go, Irish teens really like him.

Sure, didn’t he endear himself to the home crowd by wearing an Irish jersey and everything?

SCENES.

His fans loved it and he even won over a lot of hardened cynics.

So now.

Next time you’re feeling good about yourself, remember that there’s a teenager out there who made his name from lipsyncing and is more famous than you’ll ever be.
